Hi there. I’m Anita, Psychologist and Women founders’ coach.
I’m Anita Cavrag, a psychologist, advisor and coach to service-based women founders and leaders. I have spent 20+ years studying the human mind, grappling with the question: What makes us thrive - not just get by - at work, in business and in life?
In my career as a People & Culture expert and leader in Europe’s fastest growing tech startups, I’ve hired and taught founders and leaders how to build and lead world-class teams.
Over the past decade, I’ve helped 80+ talented experts, including dozens of business founders, overcome inner barriers, break their income ceilings and run their businesses on their own terms.
Today I help women entrepreneurs master difficult conversations with difficult people with confidence and grace.
I teach them how to communicate with powerful authority in their key business relationships – with prospects, clients, team members, (and various dickheads they meet along the way) – without resorting to any aggressive or conniving tactics that could damage their relationships and reputation.
Privately, I'm a massive nerd, a professional collector of the most fascinating and useless facts of life.
I can talk for hours about history, neuroscience, politics, movies, philosophy – and my favorite: the human mind. Even longer if there’s a nice bottle of cabernet on the table.
I love cats, Nordic mythology, Dungeons’n’Dragons and I’m somewhat of a coffee snob. Predictably, I’m also crazy about Lord of the Rings, and I watch the trilogy at least once a year. The extended versions, of course.
Back when I used to hoard credentials in the hopes of finally becoming confident enough to charge my worth (a strategy that didn’t work), I’ve acquired quite a few:
- Masters in Psychology, BA Philosophy (Macalester, USA)
- Human Resources Management and Services diploma
- NLP Master Practitioner degree
- Business Coaching Diploma (by PwC)
- Career Coaching Diploma (UK)
- ICF accreditation, ACC
- Points of You® certificate
I have also won scholarships for international colleges in Costa Rica and the US, where for 6 years, I’ve lived and studied alongside students and staff from 100+ countries. This multicultural experience is the reason why I can handle almost anyone as a roommate and I’m not weirded out when I see bugs crawling in places where bugs don’t belong.
I’ve got a feeling we share some things in common…
FAVORITE COFFEE: Bourbon Santos
MOST RANDOM (AND USELESS) SKILL: Imitating people and animals.
GUILTY PLEASURE: I adore vintage watches. I’ve got a 1970’s ladies Doxa, 1960s Gruen (both hand-winding), and a 1980s Seiko ladies automatic.
FAVORITE TV SHOW: Seinfeld. Giddiyup!
SUPERPOWER: People profiling. I can easily spot mental patterns and emotional blocks in people I talk to.
RECENT HOBBY: Hanging out at cat cafés with my laptop or a book.
PASSIONATE ABOUT: History, psychotherapy, the concepts of self-managing organizations and democracy at work.
DEGREES & CERTIFICATES: MA Psychology, BA Philosophy, Business Coaching Diploma, NLP Master practitioner, Certified Career Coach, ICF-accredited (ACC).
RANDOM FACT: I once went skydiving from 24,000 feet (7.3 km). It was a tandem jump, usually reserved only for the military. Weird thing: I wasn’t scared AT ALL... But for some reason, standing on the ladder feels really dramatic. :)
Let's talk.
If you want to explore how I can help you step into your power and claim the authority and respect that you deserve — even from difficult people — I invite you to book a 90-min (private) call with me.
